Apple Pie with Wakame Flakes

Apple Pie with Wakame FlakesDouble Pie Crust
1/3 cups Light Brown Sugar, packed
1/3 cups White Sugar
1 tbsp All-purpose Flour
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/3 tsp ground Cinnamon
1 tbsp Wakame Flakes
7 ½ cups Apples - peeled, cored, and sliced
1 Egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 425*. Spray a deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray.

Combine white sugar, light brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon and wakame. Mix well. Add apples to sugar mixture, stir until fruit is well coated.

Spoon apple mixture into pie crust. Place second pie crust on top of filling and trim edges. Lightly glaze top of pie with beaten egg, then sprinkle with a little white sugar.

Bake until golden brown, about 35-40 minutes. Place on a wire rack and cool 30 minutes.
